I’ve been described by a highly intelligent and discerning client, who had extensive experience in the counselling and assessment milieu (including forensic), as “the most direct clinician” he had ever worked with. I’ve also had a fantastic practicum student state, after joining me for and observing several months’ worth of clinical work, “I can see why people come back.” I have had people I’ve arrested thank me for doing so and for positively impacting their lives as a result.
Tough people and tough work get results that matter and last. I have an extremely well-honed ability to connect with others, to cut through the murk, and to identify the core thing that is actually going on. A skilled clinician can be the catalyst to help jolt that inflection point onto a more skillful, effective, and authentic path. I’m not scared to go there and I like to model that courage for and with my clients.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Saint Mary’s University), Master of Counselling (Athabasca University), and PhD in Psychology – Counseling Psychology (National University). My areas of expertise include Assessment, Intervention, Family & Parenting, and Practice Notes 7 & 8. I have been named a Parenting Expert and have testified in the Alberta Court of King’s Bench.

Clinical Rates: 15 mins – $125; 30 mins – $195; 60 mins – $345; 90 mins – $515.
Forensic Rates: $450/hour.
